Wellness Care

Just like dogs and cats, it's important for exotic mammals to have regular wellness check-ups. Our clinical team recommends annual wellness visits for exotic mammals so we have the opportunity to complete a physical exam, and provide tips and advice to be the best pet parent to your exotic mammal. Based on your pet's age and overall health status, more frequent visits may be recommended.

Diagnostics

Exotic mammals can get sick, but signs of disease and illness aren't always clear. Dr. Martell is highly experienced to identify underlying and subtle symptoms that may indicate a health concern. A physical exam is always the first step, followed by diagnostic testing. Diagnostics like blood work, samples, and imaging gives us important health information that allows us to make an accurate diagnosis. This way, treatment is most effective and your exotic mammal can regain health sooner. In serious cases, we'll refer you to a trusted, high-quality exotic mammal specialist.
